Although you will have to click the link to see this video, it is a very good example of two dancers, each with their own unique personal style of praise dancing, ministering together to convey His message.
May it encourage you to praise dance with others, even when you have different styles or levels of skill. He loves making unity out of diversity.
He had asked me what I desired. It took ages for me to answer. Finally, I asked not for a material blessing, nor to see His face, but for a pure heart, that I might know His heart.
Now, He had given me a glimpse of what I had requested; I had begun to understand the great price of this precious gift. Knowing that I now knew, as much as a mortal can, the price of what I had asked, He offered to grant my request; He offered to draw me close, that He might share His heart.
He knew I’d heard. He didn’t need to keep calling, keep inviting, or try to persuade me. This was my decision; mine alone. He was patient; He sat; He waited for me to say yes once again.
It was not hours or days, or even weeks that He waited. I was frozen in my journey, and could not continue. I had spent weeks pouring over what I should ask of Him, it was not a hasty response to His question. His Son knows His heart, and it cost Him His life. How foolish that I should cling to mine; it was not even mine! I had given it to Him years ago. Why was this so hard? Why did I even hesitate when He offered what I had requested?
How could I even have imagined to ask such a thing?
Both Psalms 100 and Romans 1 make it clear that we first need to understand that He is the Almighty One, our Creator; and we are His creation. Then, when we stay focused on Who He is, we will be filled with gratitude, with thanksgiving, and with praise.
For He is our Creator, Who knows us better than we know ourselves. He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3).
He is our Provider, Who promises to provide us with all we need, as we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33)
He is our victorious King of kings, the Almighty, Eternal One, Who knows the beginning and the end; Who is able to keep and protect His own.
He is our Prince of Peace, even in the midst of the raging storm.
He is our Healer, our Savior, our Advocate, our constant intercessor; Who loves us with a love we cannot fathom.
He is worthy to be praised, not just because of what He does for us, but because of Who He is.
